I’m taking a moment to reflect on a year that was equal parts adventure, challenge, and innovation—both personally and professionally.
New Beginnings: From Coast to Coast
I started the year in Virginia, balancing home renovations with running my business. But by spring, it was time for a change. My dogs and I packed up and drove cross-country to Oregon, embracing the open road and the excitement of starting fresh. Since June, I’ve been settling into life here—new surroundings, new routines, and plenty of opportunities to explore.
Building, Scaling, and Forecasting
On the professional side, work on Seersite and Commonspace continued, refining and scaling these platforms with deeper AI integration, more robust data handling, and better user experiences. At the same time, I dedicated significant time to improving JARVIS, my cryptocurrency forecasting model. Using sentiment analysis and predictive modeling, JARVIS has evolved into a powerful tool for mapping market trends. Looking ahead to 2025, I’m gearing up for the next step—collaborating with a partner to implement automated trading strategies based on JARVIS insights.
Rediscovering Old Passions & Finding New Ones
Outside of work, I’ve been diving back into antique collecting, tracking down Edison-era tech, quack medicine artifacts, and other historical oddities. There’s something fascinating about the way innovation and curiosity shaped past generations—and how some of those ideas still echo today.
I also picked up some new hobbies, like booknooking and board games, while staying committed to long-time passions like photography, cycling, and hiking. Oregon’s landscapes have been the perfect backdrop for all of it.
Feeling Good, Looking Ahead
This year has been a reset in many ways—a fresh environment, new creative pursuits, and continued innovation in my work. I’m feeling great about where things are headed, and 2025 is already shaping up to be an exciting year.
Let’s see what’s next.
